• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup water
• 1/4 c. powdered sugar

Boil together sugar and water until first indication of a thread appears (230 deg). Remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar. Small amounts of this can be color and brushed on cookies. Notes: when using gets sugary, add a little water, heat till again clear.
