- 3/4 cup shortening or oleo
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 cup shortening (part oleo)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbls. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. B.P.
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups oats
- I add 1 tsp. nutmeg to the recipe.
Mix in usual manner. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Yield approx: 6 dozen 21/2 inch cookies
